How to Quickly Lose Weight without Dangerous Diets

When you want to quickly lose some weight, you may turn to crash diets, or fad diets to help you. What you may not realize, however, is that while these diets are ‘helping’ you to lose weight, they are almost always doing more damage than good.

The safest way to lose weight fast, without using a dangerous diet, is to make immediate and drastic lifestyle changes. This starts in your kitchen. Throw out the sugar, the flour, the cornmeal, those frozen dinners, processed foods – pretty much anything that is not raw meat, fresh fruit, or fresh vegetables – canned fruit and vegetables do not count…throw them out.

Now that the cupboards are bare, let’s go shopping. Go around the outer edges of the interior of the store. This is where you find raw meat, fresh fruits, and fresh vegetables. When you get to the dairy isle, only purchase low fat cheeses, low fat yogurt, and skim milk. You can buy a butter substitute, such as “I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter.”

Now, go down the isles. Pick up some Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Also pick up any variety of herbs and spices that you desire, and if you like sugar in your coffee or tea, pick up a sugar substitute like Splenda. When you get to the bread isle, choose 100% wheat bread, and look for reduced calorie bread. When you get to the cereal isle, get oatmeal – plain oatmeal. Make a run down the nut isle and pick up some unprocessed nuts, and grab some plain popcorn while you are at it.

You are set on food. Go home and put away your groceries, and cook something to eat, using only the ingredients that you’ve purchased. Eat six small meals a day, and find out how many calories someone of your weight and size should consume to lose weight – this number is different for everyone. Do not exceed those numbers, but make sure that you eat six times a day, starting within an hour of waking up each morning.

Now, let’s think about exercise. You don’t have to join a gym, but you do have to get yourself moving. Go for a brisk walk, and since losing weight is important to you, walk for at least an hour, twice a day – every day. If you are content with losing weight slowly, walk for about thirty minutes once a day.

If you truly want to lose weight fast, without starving or going on a dangerous diet, this is the way that it is done. You’ve got to eat right, and you’ve got to get plenty of exercise. Everything else takes care of itself.
