Realistic Ways to Get Rid of Dark Under-Eye Circles

By

At some point in life, you may experience dark circles under your eyes. Often, those dark circles go away on their own, when you eat right and get plenty of sleep. Sometimes, however, those dark under-eye circles are very stubborn, but there are ways that you can get rid of them, and keep them from coming back.

Dark circles are often the result of allergies. Allergies are easier than ever to identify, typically with a simple blood test. Often, unless what is causing the allergy is removed, the dark circles will persist. If the allergen cannot be removed, your doctor may suggest a combination of vitamins to help remedy the situation.

Sleep is important for many different reasons, and when you don’t get enough sleep, the whole world is aware of it – due to those dark circles under your eyes. Make sure that you are getting eight hours of sleep a night, and make sure that what you are getting is true, uninterrupted sleep. Invest in a good eye mask to wear when you sleep. These eye masks have padded patches for the eyes, and if they are filled with special herbs they will prevent dark circles, and may also help you to get a better nights rest.

If you wake up with dark circles, for any reason, you can reduce their appearance with the use of cucumbers, tea bags, or ice. You only need to apply one of these items to your eyes for about fifteen minutes. Make sure that if you use teabags or cucumbers that they are nice and cool before use, and of course, you will want to dampen the tea bags first. Wrap ice cubes in a cloth before applying them to the eyes.

Use a good eye cream that contains vitamin K. Retinol is another top of the line ingredient to look for. Remember that creams are not magic, so there are other things that you must do as well, such as using the techniques above, and also by avoiding rubbing your eyes, and eating a good, healthy diet. Also make sure that you are drinking plenty of water.

Dark under-eye circles are not attractive, but again, there is something that can be done about them. Use the techniques above, and if these techniques do not work, it is important that you see your doctor for advice. Make sure that he is aware of the techniques that you have already tried.
