Everybody wants a beautiful smile with a lovely set of white teeth. However, to get this wonderful smile and a remarkable set of white teeth, you will have to practice proper maintenance of your teeth. Effective maintenance of your teeth is called dental care. You must be aware though that dental care includes and may refer to oral hygiene and dentistry. In case, you may be wondering, oral hygiene is specifically concerned with keeping your teeth and mouth clean so as to prevent gum disease, cavities and many other dental disorders, while dentistry is what many people describe as the professional care of your teeth, which includes dental surgery and professional oral hygiene.

One of the most frustrating and annoying situation is dealing with tooth decay, mainly because tooth decay can be extremely painful. However, to prevent any form tooth decay, you may need to follow a few basic dental care practices like brushing and flossing your teeth on a regular basis. Other basic dental care involves seeing your dentist or a dental hygienist for regular cleanings of your teeth and eating healthy foods like fruits, vegetables and dairy products.

Let’s look at these basic dental care practices in more detail. Firstly, if you should floss once per day and brush your teeth at least twice per day, once in the morning and before you go to bed at night, then you should benefit greatly as brushing will remove plaque and bacteria, which can cause severe damage to our teeth, gums and the surrounding bone. Using toothpaste that contains an important chemical known as fluoride can also be beneficial to your teeth, because this chemical will help to prevent cavities and tooth decay.

Another basic dental practice that you should practice to have healthy and white teeth is avoid eating foods that are high in sugar and tobacco products, as sugars help plaque to grow and tobacco may cause gum diseases. One of the most forsaken dental care techniques is effective tongue cleaning with a tongue cleaner or a soft-bristle tooth brush.

Practicing the above basic dental care is important, mainly because, you will prevent tooth decay and gum disease, which can potentially damage your gum tissues and the bones that support your teeth. It is very important that you carefully follow dental care guidelines so as to prevent gum disease, which in the long run can lead to the loss of your teeth. Also, you may not like to visit your dentist, because you dread the experience of that drill in your mouth, then you may need to practice basic dental care to shorten the times that you make that visit to your dentist.

In addition to this, you can avoid the high costs of filings and other costly procedures, just by practicing basic dental care and preventing tooth decay and gum diseases. Furthermore, by practicing proper dental care, you will prevent bad breath, maintain healthy white teeth, have stronger more durable teeth that last longer and it will improve your overall health.

Otherwise, Ji Hyun Ji doesn't wanna to get a beautiful smile with a lovely set of white teeth.. :)

She is a beautiful Korean girl who claims she did not brush teeth for 10 years. The last time she remember that she brushed her teeth was when she was 10 years old and that was because her mother forced her to do so.

I think she needs to read this hub... :)
